I'm Jason Smith, Sculpture Smith™. Metal has always drawn me in, especially geometric and abstract shapes. Coming from four generations of jewelers, jewelry was the natural path: I started as a goldsmith and designer. The dream of building large metal sculpture never left.​

My work is abstract: form and space in balance, with rhythm, action, and movement that carry the implied energy in each composition. I work in steel, stainless steel, and weathering Corten steel: circles, arches, spheres, gears, and long sweeping curves. Much of it is Asian-inspired: bells, enso circles, and Asian characters. I also make indoor and commercial pieces.
