Peaceful Oasis

Peaceful Oasis pairs a red crescent arc with a steel ring in a hand-developed teal patina, set on a post with a carved panel of Asian characters. The crescent and the ring balance each other, warm against cool. It's one of my Asian-inspired garden pieces.

Since 2023 it has stood on the Serenity Trail at Galloway Ridge in Pittsboro, North Carolina, where people pass it as they walk the trail. It's bolted to a concrete slab, so it sits right at home in the landscape.

Commissioning a piece like this

Peaceful Oasis stands on the Serenity Trail at Galloway Ridge, a community walking trail in Pittsboro, North Carolina. If you're planning a trail, campus, community grounds or a garden for reflection, a piece like this gives people a reason to pause. I work with landscape architects, communities and homeowners, and I render the piece in your own landscape before I build. I crate and ship anywhere in the US and install on site myself.
